BEACH
Three kilometers north of the village of Sam Roi Yot Beach are 2 hidden, intimate bays separated by a rock formation with nice accommodations near the beaches. They are secluded from the main beach and away from the road.
We love these quiet bays with fine sand in beautiful surroundings. The conditions are good for swimming, and the bays are oriented to the east, making it possible to enjoy the sunrises.
A few minutes’ walk from these beaches there is a small fishing village. Both beaches are good places to stay, but our favorite beach is the northern one, where you will find one of Thailand’s most beautiful accommodations, La a Natu.
WHERE TO STAY
La a Natu is a secluded retreat and an excellent place to relax, either on the beach or by the pool. You find less than 15 exclusive bungalows spread across the quiet bay. The bungalows have Thai-Lao architecture with a locally inspired design, which offers a surprising combination.
Minitel by the Sea on the southern bay is a good alternative, and in our opinion a comfortable stay with a swimming pool. La a Nata has an elegant restaurant, although you also can eat at Minitel by the Sea. If you prefer a different dinner spot, it is 3 kilometers to some restaurants in Sam Roi Yot Beach.
