BEACH
Ngamkho beach on Ko Kut is divided in 2 parts, the northern and southern part. The southern beach is nice, although one downside is that the main road runs right past the bungalows. At night, the scooters and pickup trucks passing by can be particularly annoying.
We liked the northern part of the beach the best, because it is wide, has very fine sand, and most importantly because it is far away from the road. The water is usually very calm, making it an ideal place for swimming and snorkeling. Moreover, Ngamkho is a good central place from which you can discover the island. Lastly, the road to Ngamkho is in good condition and this beach is located near a small village with restaurants and bars.
WHERE TO STAY
The only resort on this part of the beach is S-Beach Resort. They offer midr-ange bungalows with fan and airconditioning. Do check the mattresses here, as some are really hard and not comfortable to lie on. In the southern part of the beach you will find alternative stays.
Close to the beach there are a few small restaurants, and directly on the beach is a nice bar where you can relax.
