BEACH
Ko Wai South Beach has a small sandy beach with clear water, which makes it a good place to relax and admire the sapphire blue coral. The beach is a great spot, but when you go swimming the sand turns into rocks, so be sure to bring water shoes.
On this beach you are usually not disturbed by people who come for a day of snorkeling. It is a wonderful place to completely unwind.
WHERE TO STAY
There is one accommodation on this beach, the Koh Wai Beach Resort, with a very friendly owner. Here you will find different types of bungalows and a restaurant, and electricity is available most of the day. You may very well be one of the only guests. Lastly, here you have the opportunity to kayak, fish, hike, snorkel and take boat trips.
It is a good 30-minute climb to reach the alternive restaurants in the beautiful bays of Ko Wai North Beach. This climb is not recommended after dark, but it is a nice trip for lunch.
