BEACH
Hin Ngaam near Sichon is known for windsurfing. The beach is located just south of the river mouth, only 2 kilometers from Sichon. Here, you will find an intimate bay less than 1 kilometer long, that is oriented to the northeast with a smooth sea.
It can be busy on weekends as locals then enjoy picnics, but during the week there is hardly anyone on the beach. Hin Ngaam features some beachfront restaurants and a handful of resorts on the beach or nearby.
This is definitely a good beach if you want to be a part of Thai daily life and are in the mood for social contact with local holidaymakers. Hin Ngaam’s surfing season runs from November to February.
WHERE TO STAY
Our preference is Prasarnsook Villa Beach Resort, a nice upper range stay with a pool and comfortable rooms for a good deal. The different mid-range stays looked very similar. If you are traveling on a budget, we recommend Beach Side Resort. If you like surfing, Issara Beach Resort and Sichon Cabana are the place to be.
There are beachfront restaurants. North of the beach, just follow the dark path you find an evening market, or otherwise you can go to Sichon to find more restaurants.
