BEACH
Hin Kong is located in the east of Ko Yao Yai. This quiet beach is about 1.5 kilometer long, and in the south part of the beach there is a small bay, where you will find our favorite hotel of the island. The sand is very fine, and you have a beautiful view of the island of Ko Rang Nok.
There is a stone sea wall about half a meter high to protect the beach during storms. At Hin Kong we recommend booking a hotel with a swimming pool, as during low tide, bathing becomes more complicated. The sea retreats tens of meters and the sandy bottom becomes clayey, yet the view of the sea is wonderful.

On the beach are 2 excellent upper range stays: Koh Yao Yai Village and Anantara Koh Yao Yai Resort. Our sky-high favorite is Koh Yao Yai Village, the setting in the middle of nature
is great and all bungalows are very tastefully decorated with local handmade artwork and furniture. Baan Taranya Resort is the only mid-range hotel on Hin Kong, located just near the small pier.
Although all stays have their own restaurant, you can also grab your scooter to visit one of the small restaurants in the area.
