BEACH
Klong Dao is a social beach with many accommodation options and restaurants, but because the beach is wide and long it still feels spacious and relaxed. It is a great beach for sunbathing with white powdery sand. A great advantage of Klong Dao is that there are no stones in the water, making swimming more enjoyable. The water is shallow and clear, especially in high season.
WHERE TO STAY
Klong Dao offers a selection of accommodations from the middle and higher segments. However, Klong Dao is far from overdeveloped because resorts are not allowed to build at high altitudes. Be sure to check the booking sites to see what suits you. We recommend going to the upper range Twin Lotus or Costa Lanta.
If you are searching for a mid-range accommodation, we like D.R. Lanta Bay Resort and Bambie Boutique Home. There are also plenty of good restaurants and nice bars on Klong Dao beach, otherwise there are some alternatives a short walk to the main road.
